Finding Our people

Every production needs its people. We found ours.

Twelve individuals: 8 cast members, 2 co-producers, a director, and a costumer, each arriving with their own story. Between them: rap, reggae, baroque, jazz, and hip hop. Sci-fi fans and classicists. Cyclists and bakers. Christian, Jewish, and everything in between. Parents, grandparents, children, aunts and uncles. Farm, forest, and city.

On paper, wildly different. In the rehearsal room, something else entirely.

What unites them goes beyond the show. Each one is pushing themselves to grow, to stretch into something new, while genuinely lifting the people beside them. Yes, there is ego in this room. But it rides alongside commitment, and that is exactly the right combination.

Some are seasoned Swiss Army knives. Some are powered by pure youth and spirit. All of them are here for each other, and for Who Is Esther.

We found our people. When you see the show, you’ll have a chance to see them too. (And maybe meet them: we’re all staying in Kingston for the Festival.)
