When your choir practices by themselves, they can use the sheet music and/or the audio reference tracks.  If you are practicing “live in-person”, we hope these optional reference tracks make it easier for you to bring your choir up-to-speed just that much faster. If you are still “virtual”, consider using sectionals as a way to increase engagement.

Please remember that you should not feel “locked” into the interpretations suggested by the reference tracks. Free to suggest (or try) changes: speed, dynamics, style, harmonization, etc.

We have NOT provided any recommendations or sheet music for vocal percussion, as we wanted to provide as wide a stylistic canvas for this part as we could, and didn’t want to limit either the percussionists ability to innovate… or your flexibility to provide stylistic and musical direction. 

If you are singing live in-person together, then performance as you normally would, but please also record it in high resolution video.  (If you are hoping to do a “virtual” choir”, ask your choir to individually record their performance; you will then do the video editing to put it together.)

Singer Resource page:  We have provided instructions that you can give to your choir to either practice on their own, or if you are doing a virtual choir, to record the song by themselves. Please remind the choir what they should wear, and what type of background color they should use.  We apologize that we can’t provide all of the technical “how-to’s” to make a combined recording, as it is quite involved. If you haven’t done it before, reach out to us and we can provide referrals to people who can help: (you would need to pay them, directly.)

No matter which format you use (“virtual” combined choir, or “live” traditional choir), we ask that you create the video in MP4 1080P or 4K format.

If you have the time and inclination, we would value your feedback greatly, either on the music itself, the arrangement, or the Sing with Esther experience.  If it’s easier, we’d be happy to hop on a zoom call.

Important: You may have an excellent idea that you’d like to run by the Sing with Esther music team as you begin your rehearsals.
