In a few days, I’ll be doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer. There’s something electric about standing at the start line with 5,000 fellow riders. As a Hall-of-Fame professional speaker, I’ve felt this before: it’s exactly like stepping onto a stage and facing a full house. The air hums. You know something big is going to happen.
That electricity? It lives in live theatre too. Which is exactly why our Ride team is called Who Is Esther.
Here’s a line from Who Is Esther: “I’ve just arrived. I’m hardly ready. I’m nervous and unsteady.” Seems to apply in all cases.
