We are absolutely delighted to welcome Joey Lau to Who Is Esther as our Stage Manager! A multidisciplinary theatre artist (and stage manager) based in Toronto, Joey brings a wealth of experience, precision, and heart to this production.
Joey holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance Production from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Certificate in Entertainment Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. Selected as the 2020-2021 RBC Apprentice Stage Manager with The Musical Stage Company, her career has since taken her to some of Toronto’s most respected stages: Canadian Stage, the Stratford Festival, Theatre Passe Muraille, Cahoots Theatre, Theatre Calgary, Talk is Free Theatre, and the Lua Shayenne Dance Company, where she toured Yassama and the Beaded Calabash across Canada. She was also part of the team behind Woking Phoenix, recipient of the 2024 Jon Kaplan Audience Choice Award at the Dora Awards.
